Bottle Talk is a short college production I worked on, adapted from a stage script by Alexander Lee-Rekers. This project was my first time adapting a script for screen, and it challenged me to think differently about space, silence, and how visual storytelling can evolve from the stage to the screen.
I was responsible for the screen adaptation, sound design, and editing, and each aspect taught me something new about pacing, tone, and atmosphere. The story explores themes of isolation and inner reflection — and it was clear from the start that sound would be a crucial part of the emotional weight.
Creating a subtle, immersive soundscape became a key focus. I wanted the sound to feel almost like a second character — shaping the mood, adding tension, and making the internal dialogue resonate.
For a short film, Bottle Talk carried a lot of depth and gave me valuable experience both creatively and technically.
